Yes, but where would WB FOs be positioned on the stovepiped status/category list relative to NB CAs?

WB CA
NB CA
WB FO
NB FO?

Can anyone tell me who we are merging with?

What I don’t get is there are people at a carrier that believe merger is only way it’ll survive but then when seniority lists merge they want to be on top. But if they went out of business (I would never wish that on anyone) they’d get hired at the bottom….its very strange

The key to any successful merger SLI would be to coordinate within your pilot group to let the plug at your company bid and get awarded widebody CA. Then you can walk in to arbitration with some big asks based on “career expectations”

It doesn’t matter what seat you’re sitting in, it’s more about what you can hold if everyone bid the highest paying seat they can hold.

exactly - because there are a batch of NB CA that are super junior, and WB FO that are junior-ish compared to NB FOs that are waiting for a decent % before they bid over.

System seniority > your seat in a merger is what I'm hearing, right?

The seat you’re currently sitting in means nothing.
