Bearing in mind that, at least for the time being, the new 787 deliveries are essentially offsetting all of our 777s that are parked.
Our 777s aren’t permanently parked…..

From: 18%er but I’ll enforce UPA23 to the last period.

No but they’re also not flying. So any 787s coming in are just helping us tread water until these 777s get back to the line.

I see what you are saying but it’s not really an offset. Do we have highest pay band aircraft parked? Yes……but……the parked 777s are domestic birds and the 787s aren’t replacing those. So we are bringing on 3-4 pilot aircraft and temporarily parking 2 pilot birds.

so really the 321 is backfilling the parked 777s.

Higher if the deliveries hit on time lower if they don't. So right now to answer your question directly, closer to 2. But really, no one can know that.
makes perfect sense. Appreciate it

Couldn't you say that about every airplane in United's fleet?

Word is that PW upped the rate from two to four engines/month. That should help.

They are temporarily parked and should be back in the line for the peak summer season….

Staffing wise, we aren’t shrinking WB seats because they are parked…

Everyone needs to calm themselves about the PW 777s getting sidelined during the time of the season where normally a good number of WB aircraft comes off the line for MX/refits/paints etc anyways….
