It's the latter. IOW, simple math defines the G-Line reference.

Well yes but as I understand it, A pilot above the G line would have to force it into reserve.

I don’t think any FA group gets a DC like the pilots. Could be wrong though

A pilot at or above the GLine will get a line in completion mode if they don’t have a reserve bid group submitted

I just found out that there is language in the new t/a that allows UA to 100% wholly own a regional airline and not use UA flight attendants to work it .If true , what’s your opinion on this ?

I just found out I don't have an opinion on what the FA contract should be.

Sounds United will finally be like Alaska, Delta, and AA if that's true.

Well owning a regional can be a cash cow or it could be financial disaster. Regardless, if this is what their plans are, it will definitely affect profits at some point.

That's a fair point. At present it seems like acquisition of anything, regional or major, carries a lot of financial risk. But long term, I'd think that the company isn't looking to reduce its profitability. What do you see as the pros/cons of a wholly owned vs outsourced right now?

That's not quite true. If a pilot submits _any_ reserve bids, it can be awarded, even if they can hold a line.
