How many helicopters crashed into airliners in DCA in the last 30 years? Must not be that unsafe.
And how many guppies went off the end of 27 in IAH…. We can play this game all day.

We also have never had a serious mishap going into SAN, so why are we bothering to take any proactive safety measures? We should let 180 people die and reduce our profit sharing pool by a few hundred million before we start adding notes and restricting FO’s from landing there, right?

Then we should stop flying to JAC, SNa, SAN, burbank, lga and many others. All have more risk then a straight in 12000 foot rwy.

Considering that plenty of our FOs have significantly more experience than our 26 year old new hire wonder captains, I'm not at all sure that the argument "we're reducing risk by making SAN a CA only landing" is accurate.

Last two times I went into SAN, I had 3X the total hours of my captains. Both of them had been into SAN a couple of times, I've been in there at least 100 times. And yet now it's safer that I can't land there? 😂

I love how you admit you’re part of the problem. You want more experience in the left seat? Get off your a** and upgrade.

Its a shame the hiring process lets certain people through, and he’s a bit misguided in the way he spoke.

But, as I mentioned in another thread (maybe this one), there’s a bunch of CA’s here that are on their first upgrade/loggingTPIC for the first time, and it shows.

LOL I would upgrade, if I could hold it. But I can't.
