Actually this is flirting with (if not totally) a violation of the TPA. The TPA protects flying on UA and CO sides of the merger until the JCBA is complete. I agree with what you said, but not totally.
PS - please don't say the Glenn word again. Jeff is bad enough.

"Barbie Jet" pilot, go hang out in your own forum for Regional pilots.
Being a two time UAL furloughee, I am fed up with your chatter. You sound like a happy guy who loves to stir the pot. I probably have done more battle in my airline career before you were in Kindergarten and take total offense to the "Scab" comment. 2172 Strong..

I hear what you are saying Ron. But just because Glenn/Jeff want it doesn't make it so. I'm TOTALLY with you about getting this JCBA done YESTERDAY.

There seems to be a lot of animosity against the Skywest pilots but not for the Shuttle America pilots. My guess is its because Skywest pilots have repeatedly voted down ALPA representation and independent union representation. I wouldn't be surprised if ALPA has reached out to the Shuttle America pilots through the IBT to coordinate whatever strategy they come up with to fight this. If Skywest pilots were ALPA, or just unionized, they too would be able to participate in discussions happening right now between the SPCS, CAL ALPA, UAL ALPA, XJT ALPA, ASA ALPA, Mesa ALPA, TSA ALPA, Colgan ALPA, Commutair ALPA (ALL UAX/CALEX ALPA carriers) to coordinate whatever the SPSC and CAL ALPA come up with as a total game strategy and specific tactics to be used to fight this on ALL fronts. Whatever this strategy is, this information and direction will be dessimanted quickly to all the ALPA carriers involved through the SPSC to exert as legal much pressure possible to UAL management and we wouldn't have this infighting between fellow professional pilots. At some point, we all should band together for the betterment of the entire industry and stop being passive about it just because its convenient.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.

I don't love to stir the pot, I just throw the BS flag when I see it, and I've seen plenty in this business and this so called "union".
Sorry your fed up...get used to it.....

The current CALMEC chairman may not have been a scab but, from what I have been told we ought not completely trust him.
First, he was an expressjet flowthru. Nothing wrong with that but, he had previously GIVEN UP his CAL seniority number to stay in MANAGEMENT at EXPRESSJET. When that turned south he begged for his number back at CAL and who gave it back....F Abbott. Can you or I do the same today? Give up our number, fly for SWA and get it back post-contract?
Also, did he not have a big role in selling this pilot group up the river during CO "02. Wasn't he and Goat Boy responsible, among others for this excuse for a contract.
Additionally, look at his current behavior in regards to trying to take down the IAH reps. So he decides to do this immediately AFTER he is passed up for Vice Chairman at National. JP is out for himself not the pilot group. Look at his past actions and decide for yourself. I have talked to many pilots that believe a screw-job contract proposal is coming our way. JP does not want to come back to the line. He was given the no thanks from Alpa N. You bet UAL management is where he is setting his sights.
be careful, be informed
