So be it. But don't continue to come on here and and make like poor pitiful because you have no 737's left. It is what it is. YOUR membership allowed YOUR 737 fleet to be parked and YOUR membership allowed 1400+ pilots to be furloughed. CAL had nothing to do with it. How do we get this message to sink in? The CAL pilots DID NOT DO THIS TO YOU!

A 737 is a 737 whether it's a 200 or a 900. It's a 737. UAL park it's 737 fleet because it was older and less efficient and looked for a "small" airplane airline to merge with - you were it! Just as Pierce has been puffing his chest to explain the inflated presence of the 767-400 being equal to a 747-400, you are trying to equate a 737 to anything smaller than a 747-400. You are a 737 airline and fly the smallest airplane on routes that are normally flown by wide-bodies. Get over yourself - you're an RJ outfit flying long-haul routes.
You are right. Cal has a lot of 737s, because cal's current management also did not have any foresight. They continue to give up relatively new wide bodies like 767-200 instead of finding a route on which it can make money. LCal flies 737s to places they should fly wide bodies because cal neglected to order wide bodies.
**** poor management has defined our fleets at this moment.
UAL has more wide bodies that CAL, but they are old and tired and many not etops certified. CAL parked all it's older wide bodies. Had we kept the DC10. And 747's and even the airbus, CAL would have a lot more wide bodies. UAL hangs on to some old planes and says, look we have more wide bodies than CAL. CAL's wide bodies are newer and etops certified.

Non Etops. I suppose that if its repeated over and over and long enough than it must be true eh? Kind of like Iraq and WMD I guess.
So all those planes on the tracks at night, how DO they do it??

Legacy United pilots deserve credit for their time on the property. We were sacrificed to position United for the Continental merger. Jay Pierce is on record as saying it is a good thing that the merger committees were put in place during the first round of negotiations in I think it was 2008, and never terminated. The TWA pilots won a suit against ALPA and the settlement is being negotiated, they don't have to go back to American.

I think most the UAL guys know the CAL pilots didn't "do it"! You've ridden on the coat tails of the industry and had a chance to finally standup for youself and contribute. What did you do - allowed Pierce to make deals at the expense of the collective group. Don't think a 737 outfit will every be anything more than an RJ outfit. At least at SW they pay their 737 guys well. What happened to you guys, brain trust fail!
So when the latest deal (TPA TA) that your Jay approved, sees the light of day, your gonna be ok with it? As of three plus years ago, we were number two in the industry on 737 pay. Kinda hard to change that without a new CBA. And no, an RJ outfit is the one that does all of your 70+ seat flying and our 50+ seat flying. If your are going to continue to use this analogy, please understand our 737's have more seats than some of your 757's and all of your Airbus fleet or are they all RJ's too?
You are one angry young man; most here would agree that you direct that anger at the wrong people. Or is that your intent?

You are absolutely right. YOUR management parkED the 737s and did not have the foresight or money to order replacement aircraft. YOUR Management was more than happy to put Ual pilots on the street and farm out flying to the RJ.

Here's a deal for you. You can have the number 1 slot on the combined seniority list if I can have the number 2 slot. The only condition is you never leave CLE. Is that a deal or what?

Do people really give a crap what size aircraft they fly? I care about two things, pay and schedule. Whether it's a 737 or a 747, i could care less. I'd much rather be flying a 737 for SWA than a 747 for UAL. I'd much rather fly a 737 for CAL than a 747 for Atlas and I'd much rather fly a 727 at FEDEX than all of the above.
When we get into these pointless debates it just fuels the fire for management. I'm sure they love it when our egos get involved in scope. "70 seat RJ?" "Let the 'kids' fly it, I'm a big metal driver," blah, blah, blah.
