Ahhh, but if you check the financials for the last independent year, you'll see a much different story. I'd argue that those numbers are much more relevant.
Anyway, not trying to start a peeing match with my co-workers
. Just want us all to keep in mind there are some people who are going to get a real short end of a stick thanks to a few managers who wanted to makes themselves a few more millions.

The numbers were probably "adjusted" so this "merger of equals (as management called it)" would happen..........otherwise things weren't looking so good. But you're exactly right...........the short end of the stick is going to be hitting close to home for a lot of folks and once again, the rich will get richer........................

Karl,
I suppose you are enjoying your commentary. Does it feel good to be "anonymous" and spouting off ??
Most of us look out for our own - all of us.

United Airlines - SEC filings
In the above link you will find all the SEC filings going back to prior years...
Remember the law changed that requires signatures to go along with these reports...Basically the CEO takes responsibility for its accuracy.

It's not in our control. The only thing for sure on the integrated seniority list is the number 1 guy will be the happiest and the most junior guy will be the angriest. In between will be varying degrees frustration.

Then how did this dying carrier post better profits than CAL in the 3 or 4 quarters leading up to the merger?

That sounds awfully SCABish. BTW, how does it harm your career expectations (or life in general) if we (the 1437) are given longevity for our furloughed time? We're most likely going to be stapled anyway, so a little bone like that would be nice, and not affect any of you senior guys in the least. But you're always a hater for some reason, Karl. *******.

At the first joint MEC meeting the EWR reps at the direction of J.P. threaten to delay the JCBA if the S-UAL MEC did not go along with pay banding....Lets think about that scenario for a second....A Delayed JCBA means no SLI.....
If (BIG if), lets say due to this threaten delay the senior furloughs ('99 & '00 hires) return to S-UAL and are now ACTIVE pilots, then what...
I know that there have not been any RECALLS to S-UAL yet, but the rumors are starting about a September recalls. DENTK bringing back PIs and the B747 fleet count now back up to 26 up from 23. Larger retirements numbers on the S-UAL side...More frequent vacancies being announced for captains, unfilled A320 FO positions becoming the norm with every bid.
I know this is nothing to write home about but the trend is in the right direction for a change. Fear only becomes leverage if you let it.
