"And the survey said!" No, the survey was designed to give the results the company wanted. Truth be told they would like to use the pass system as a rewards program for loyal employees. Remember those people that got super priority in boarding, I don't think they went away they just changed their boarding priorty code.
Does anybody have a copy of the new combined boarding priorty codes?
What is the difference between Family Vacation Pass and Vacation ePass?

The most fair way is service time.
It is complete and utter BS that someone throwing bags on the ramp who has been with the company for 6 months gets a higher priority than someone who retires with 35 years of service and dedication to the company (like I will have, since now I have to stay until age 65!)

It sounds like the new pass travel system is beginning today for United. The biggest change is retirees with 25+ years seniority will now go below all active employees (even those with 6 months of service). This is a major blow for current retirees and all of us who plan on actually retiring someday.
My plan was always to retire early and travel the world on my retiree pass travel at the highest seniority level. Now it seems like I will be staying until I reach age 65 (or whatever the mandatory retirement age gets raised to) in order to keep my high seniority pass travel. Looks like those of you on the low end of the seniority list will be stuck with us senior guys for even longer now. I am sure there are other pilots who plan on staying around longer now to keep their pass travel benefits. We are our own worst enemies sometimes.

And whoever made the entitlement comment, I think it is ridiculous that you feel that you are entitled to higher pass benefits than someone who has given 25+ years of service.
BTW I am still an active pilot. I just plan on retiring someday.

as LONG as managment didn't get priority boarding as they did at Continental?? Then I think the whole thing is fair. We'll getwhat we Get and Nothing more. And as far as commuting? You choose to live where you live, If you're got to jump through HOOPS to get to work then that's YOUR PROBLEM! That haso ta doggone thing to do with the pass requirements. Put on a Uniform and Jumpseat! That! everybody else Can't do.

just checkedout the new pass travel website, booking the flight was easy and quick.
go to the left side of the screen and check your seniority in your profile to make sure it's correct and also check your eligibles are listed. All I have is my wife and she's on my profile.
