Well I had hoped for more, but Jay finally speaks..... although it is a one liner at the end of an update about an arguably more time critically important issue.... the complete meltdown of PBS due to the company's failure to correctly pull absences prior to the bid run forcing a complete do-over.

SPECIAL MEC MEETING FRIDAY, APRIL 20
A Special MEC Meeting has been called for this Friday, April 20, to discuss negotiating strategy in light of recent blastmails from the UAL MEC as well as the PBS issue.

Capt. Jay Pierce

CAL MEC Chairman

I am afraid you are right - but hopefully we are proven wrong. Time will tell.

Given our two MECs complete inability to communicate with us or each other, I'm sticking with my theory that we will be two separate ops for quite a while longer. In the interim, let's keep lobbing grenades at each other on aviation forums but smile and shake hands in the terminals.

Hey Special...

Looks like I only missed JP's acknowledgement of the UAL MEC actions by a few hours. None the less we'll still have that beer and it may be soon if we can ever get the company to run the bids for May correctly:

"SPECIAL MEC MEETING FRIDAY, APRIL 20

Capt. Jay Pierce

Don't change my words..dont need your editorial comments on my reply. I stated " company" will exploit and you bold printed CAL..

My point still stands...demand accountability with both MECs, which includes UA and JH as well as CALs...for this hand grenade and lack of coordination and comm..

A strike vote first would be a good litmus test. A picket line will be the proof. We'll never know however, because we don't stand a snowball's chance in Houston of ever getting released.

Never been impressed by a strike vote.

You can do more damage with a weak handshake than a grenade anyway.
