If someone doesn't walk in with your résumé to their cpo, u pretty much don't stand a chance for a while. That's how it works. U can have 10 recs, but if nobody's goes to the office u won't get moved to the next stack.

Good info. Thanks! Based on current projections for next summer, any estimates on how long would it take to hold a line as a year 2000 furloughed L-UAL new hire starting at L-CAL (assuming IAH or EWR)? Off-the-street new hire? |
We were told to be very picky about who we walk into the office with and don't bring a list. If every pilot in just EWR came in with one recommendation, that would be 5 times more pilots then we need for all next year.

Really? I have about 9 on file. They are all those who I have flown with. I would think that more would be better than less because it helps support the claim that you are a great pilot to fly with... yada yada. How many LORs do other applicants reading this have on file? (I am a little worried now...wondering if I should delete a few)

One CP a while back told me (in his opinion) that if you have over 3 LOR's, you must be hiding something. Others believe the more the better. It just depends on the person doing the hiring.

Why would anyone want to work here? I'm embarassed to work here. It was bad before the merger and now it's worse. Didn't think it was possible but it's worse.
