Good info. Thanks! Based on current projections for next summer, any estimates on how long would it take to hold a line as a year 2000 furloughed L-UAL new hire starting at L-CAL (assuming IAH or EWR)? Off-the-street new hire?

We were told to be very picky about who we walk into the office with and don't bring a list. If every pilot in just EWR came in with one recommendation, that would be 5 times more pilots then we need for all next year.

Really? I have about 9 on file. They are all those who I have flown with. I would think that more would be better than less because it helps support the claim that you are a great pilot to fly with... yada yada. How many LORs do other applicants reading this have on file? (I am a little worried now...wondering if I should delete a few)

Why would anyone want to work here? I'm embarassed to work here. It was bad before the merger and now it's worse. Didn't think it was possible but it's worse.

Friends don't let friends apply to work and this poor excuse for an ailine. Apply at Southwest.

You must not work for a bankrupt regional and have a mortgage and still be paying off college loans.

That is EXACTLY why I want my good friends who have a set of BALLS and ready to fight the good fight to come here....especially since I am looking at another 24 years to go.....gulp!
