Been parking there since 1996 with no problem. Who cares about EWR, I don't live there. I just fly out of there. Who wants to live at any airport?

Yes and no. It won't be 100% street hiring till Feb. There are UAL military and such that are coming. Dec should hold some off street hiring.

It's more of an indication that no one can afford to live around there.

There are UAL pilots that bid IAH, both on the a320/b756.

Not ignoring your point.....yawn.

Just pointing out they (UAL) had unfilled slots. Take a chill pill.

I guess I did not understand that the new hires were going to the L-CAL list. Does that mean new hires will be going to L-CAL bases only? EWR, IAH, and CLE?

Also, when does the SLI going to be complete?

embflieger 10-19-2012 07:50 AM

Any new hires will go to one of three CAL bases: Guam, Newark, or Houston. Guam is voluntary, but may not remain that way. The SLI will be done....later, well after the JCBA. Months later. The JCBA will be done...sometime. No one knows when, all reports to the contrary notwithstanding.

are classes already scheduled for Jan 13 yet? Or are firm dates only known through the end of this year?

Thanks

All,

You are receiving this email because you requested information about January training dates at legacy Continental under the terms of the TPA.* We still have limited availability in classes on December 4th, 11th and 18th.* January dates will be January 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th.* Here are some important things to consider when thinking about a January date:

*

·******** Class size will be 12 per class in January

·******** The majority of positions will be 737 FO.* Some classes (I don’t know which yet) may have limited numbers of 757 FO available to bid as well

·******** All classes will have a split of domiciles between EWR and IAH.** This is likely a 50/50 split in each class

·******** Class is 8 weeks, IOE is another 2 weeks.* You will need 10 available weeks to complete training

·******** Seniority is based on your sUA seniority in each class

·******** Class positions will be filled on a first come, first served basis

·******** Once you are slotted in a class, it is your position and you will not be bumped out but you could be bumped down by a more senior United pilot

·******** Unfilled slots in classes will be staffed with new hire pilots from outside United

*

*

*

If you are interested in one of the January class dates, please contact me with your wishes and I will slot you in.

*

Thanks,
