Yup 650$ of Cobra a month. The sIx months is from first day of class. The longer training is the better. Pay is more in training plus continuous perdiem. The perdiem is usually enough to cover cobra. At least it was for me. I had 20000$ in a bank acct to live off of cause 2400$ a month wasn't enough. And if it's your first kid they give you 6weeks I believe to reelect your coverage. I waited 5 weeks, kid was covered under wife, it's like a 200$ difference between family coverage and 2adults.

Thanks for the suggestions, Cobra, well I guess my monthly pay should cover that. Now if I can only figure out how to pay the mortgage, car insurance, gasoline, utilities, and still put food on the table we should be just fine.

Epidurals are overrated anyways. And who needs a hospital, home birth is The "in" thing now, right?

Well, $650 I can do, wonder what the copay will be on the birth though. We are used to living frugally though and havd a healthy savings acct. so we should be able to weather the storm. It'll still hurt though.

Tell your wife that. As far as copays it's whatever you have now. All you are doing is paying your old companies share of premiums.

With an 80/20 plan and no complications I think it was about 2000$ out of pocket for me.
