Yeah you do, I'm slow. You're mad a new hire could be, gasp, close to you? What, do they all smell?
Oh yes, let them eat cake, nice attitude......You are an arrogant clueless little person. I just hope that at some time in the future we can fly together so that I can esplain it to you in person. Apparently you must by a "visual" learner.

Point is, we are the choices we make. You and I look back in 20 years and then and only then do we gauge who made the better choice, if you into the keeping score thing.
And lets be perfectly honest, 20 years ago CAL was a leper colony inhabited primarily by ultra SCABS. And airline which had been used to destroy one of the greats run by a sociopath POS named Frank Lorenzo.

You make choices based on current information. Just curious, how old were you 20 years ago.

jump pilot,

That's not BS. In 2005, 2006 and early 2007 new hires at CAL were indeed assigned the 777.

Relax. We do get it. It's entirely possible that LCAL will hire in the next bid as well and have new hires going to the right seat of the 777. Do you have the same sentiment and attitude towards a furloughed LUAL pilot at LCAL? There are furloughed LUAL pilots at LCAL that currently have the same relative seniority as you do on the 756 in EWR and IAH.

What's really cool is that no matter what happens with SLI, Hoss and his family will always bump you and your family from SA seats on L-CAL jets.

THIS ^^^^^^^^^And it's about as insulting a thing as can be done to a pilot group. I just Wish you guys over on the CAL side would open your eyes and see it!!

That and having someone junior to u get the 75/76 and then in the second year make more than u with possibly better schedule, obviously better destinations, and even more obvious...more $

M'Fers!!!!

Jeffy's a gonna pay for this blatant and horrendous inequity!! The fury he is creating is beyond the understanding of those who aren't having this dumped on their heads I guess!

So a NEW HIRE is going to be relatively senior to me on the right seat of the 756 if he has 6 or more dudes under him THINK ABOUT THAT for just minute!!!
Hoss,

I would like to suggest you find out what the mission of the 757/767 fleet is at CAL. It will explain WHY there are vacancies on the latest bid and why new hires will be put into those positions. There is no conspiracy here. It's a function of the CAL contract, fleet size, mission and bases. I believe there are a few L-UAL guys flying that aircraft as well.

CAL did in fact have new hires going to 777 a few years back, a good deal for the company as the pilots were paid $29.00 hr.

Default Nepotism Clause

I know L-UAL had a nepotism clause. Does anyone known if that is true for the L-CAL? Also if one has a relative on the L-UAL side I assume they would be able to put in a recommendation for the L-CAL side?

Cal has no problem hiring relatives. On the rec page it asks how long you have been employed by UAL so I'm sure a relative on the LUAL side can put in a rec.

No, to listen to you whine about your trivial little problem is arrogant and petty. You think you are the only one here who has been shat upon and is still being shat upon daily? That there aren't people that have lost cars and homes, their jobs, marriages and families, their health and sanity, and even their life over the crap that has happened in the last decade? That most of us aren't still trying to crawl back up the debt ladder each and every day? And your irate because a new hire at another airline might end up close to your seniority? Loosen your hat. Seems like it's a little tight on your melon.

That's what I'm looking for. Right now the guy in EWR, 5 from the bottom 756, is a furloughed LUAL pilot.

LCAL is hiring because we are short. Not a rocket scientist moment there. They are hiring off the street because there aren't any more LUAL furloughs to take the job. I would much rather see the contract done, the ISL completed, and hiring start after all furloughs are back on property. But do you really want to have another POS contract just so the guy sitting in EWR on reserve was hired when you were?

If he's senior, why is that not cool?

So which is it? LCAL blows or other various euphemisms used here or is it now the second year guy has a better QOL than a 15 year LUAL pilot?

We need to get a JCBA ASAP. The difference between what the company will eventually offer and what most people want is not that huge. Meanwhile, every day we wait, we are losing out on extra money we could be earning (Because there won't be full retro) and the bottom 1/2 UAL guys get screwed while waiting.

Sounds like a yes vote without even reading the thing. If we cave on a weak scope section we are looking at another furlough..doesn't matter if I make 500 an our...if we get furloughed again it will mean nada! If you are not a B3er it will affect your qol. Please remember when you cast your vote that you are a pilot for United airlines...you are worth a lot..your family has suffered ENOUGH! FLIBS got his..now it's our turn!
