Looks like if they did vote that way it didn't work. Their bad. Yes I voted on the contract and guess which way..Hey CD you'll always be crying about something time to order a new skirt from M and H ....
You are right. Most CAL pilots don't vote. They wait and allow others to do the work and accept the results. Do you fall in that category? You should try not to name call or insult. It shows a lack of maturity and education.

How often has UAL flown that? Seems to me it has been dropped and restarted a few times. Meanwhile that pathetic POS CAL guppy has gone 3X/day to EWR since the NG showed up. What a POS!

Like. I guess he's at the marina, downing some PBRs and admiring his big boat.

I'm sorry Sunvox, I just couldn't resist. I have not met a happy UA pilot in the last 30 years. While flying a B-99 I remember talking to a UA 727 F/O in his Columbo Tan uniform that told me "Whatever you do, don't go to work for United Airlines!"

You should have taken the ugly girl back in the mid 90's!

Good luck, really.

SNA to EWR? Nonstop? In a guppy? 700 perhaps. 800 or 900 only with JATO bottles and no PAX.

Just looked at Fri schedule. Not a single 800/900 doing the direct flights. 3/700, 1/757, 1/320... But no super guppies. Guess those aren't the end all/beat all acft they are supposed to be.

Does NG = Not Good?

Newer 320 and 21's are available with much bigger motors than New Guppies. I flew 321's with 34k per motor. Rockets, even at MTW. Much lower landing speeds as well. 800NG's are a bit performance limited but fairly good overall. 900's should have never been built.

You'll have to forgive me cause I am only a General Practitioner, but its been my take that many on this sub board have agreed with your question on the NG. Silly for me thinking its better for our job security to have a network that can support 3 700 transcons/day instead of 2 on a 57. Certainly the reality that DAL is parking their 57's for 900ER new deliveries should not weigh against the fact that CAL ordered a bunch of POS stretch guppies that will never replace the 57. Btw of the five flights you mentioned, three are nonstop which was what others scoffed at as unlikely in a guppy. Of those in the transcon market we have 1 757 and 2 700's. Guess Fifi isn't quite the end all to be all.

I have flown almost all Boeings and prefer Boeing to Airbus - except the 737.

The only thing I can think to say good about it, is that it is better than an MD80.

Not Boeings best work.
