757s to 737s

Voting NO is an option - I wish more UAL guys thought of it.
The pressure to come back with a better deal was higher than ever on the company, and 67% couldn't see it through the short term $ signs.
Sad, just sad.

Voting no somehow would have kept Jeffy and crew from buying 737 900's to replace 757 200's? maybe voting no would have increased the severely limited performance capabilities of the 737-9? Possibly voting no would have kept costs down as we trudged on without a contract and the minimal LCAL contract soldiered on and replaced all of the LUAL guys? What the HE!! are you getting at here? There are so many divergences from reality it would take weeks just try and break it down..

You want to blame the UAL side for the contract because of money. Way off point and lack of understanding of what was going on. The CAL side thought by putting the contract out for vote, as written, would fail. This would have given the CAL side time for a bigger grab of Captain seats that belong to UAL pilots. The "YES" vote started time clock for of SLI start and stopped the seat grab and other things from impacting the UAL side. The contract is a POS but as a betting man, I'd bet that half of the "YES" voters were CAL pilots tired of the dealings of their MEC.

If those seats belonged to UAL pilots, then UAL pilots would be in them, period! Intentional or not, your side bet that everything would go as you wanted, but it did not ... without a backstop, you choose to support the POS UPA; own up and quit blaming the CAL guys for all that was/is wrong in your world.

FYI, I have never blamed the CO guys. I blame Jeff and Co. for playing one side against the other very effectively with a compliant CO MEC.
You all are talking as if the merger and aircraft orders happened in a vacuum. You think the deal was dead the first time they talked merger? Star Alliance has been talking about aircraft ordering in volume for discounts and pricing for years, and then CO joins STAR?
It is so obvious I can't believe anyone can seriously think that both companies weren't cooperating their fleet orders almost from the moment they talked merger the first time. Glenn smelled a pay day and just about prostituted himself for the deal. Including parking our 737 fleet. That's why CO 737 flying has grown so much in the last 3 years.
The question will be how much weight will the arbitrators give this for the SLI.

Please fellow co-workers, you are only stressing yourselves out with these outlandish conspiracy theories. Everything happens for a reason. We are all in this together. We must come together as co-workers and stop the blame game. Start trusting instead of blaming.
