Default MEC meetings to discuss the ISL?

Just a question- If the arbitrators' ruling is binding, why do the MEC's have to meet?

So the MEC members can be briefed because they will get calls from pilots who did not actually read the award (other than perhaps looking up their number) but they will have questions, or are upset, about something they heard from somebody on the crew van.

FWIW, those same pilots are frequent posters on internet forums.

I was told they have a habit of not working correctly....maybe we should call them Crash-Pads!

I heard a rumor the Arbs have decided to give everyone a Seniority of "1."

Equipment, domicile and monthly lines will be generated by random luck...wait, that's what we have already....

Not too far off from the CAL PBS system anyway.

This is just a guess, but in addition to getting answers to questions regarding the actual list and any conditions (fences) associated, the MECs will probably need to coordinate information regarding the distribution of the final tranche, a joint system bid, and a timeline and conditions regarding crews being trained and flying in "new" bes's. This arbitration will have significant impact on a lot of our careers, and I have no problem with the MECs getting ahead of the information train.

I am hoping to be merged in with the 1995 UAL folks, that way I can use my sticker on my kitbag that says "Hired in High School"

I remember the results when ACA pilots had "guppy killer" on their flight bags. You are better off without your sticker.
