Like someone at CAL famously said "Contract come and go but SLI lasts forever."

Doesn't matter. There was nothing in merger policy that said all pilots on furlough have to be placed behind all pilots not on furlough. It was a "seniority list" integration, not "active pilot" integration. Also, the most recent merger that used the new policy did the exact same thing. Pilots on furlough were placed with active pilots because it was based on longevity.
You were a guppy FO before the merger and you still are. What's the problem? You haven't dropped in status.

AND the logic behind the delay, was flawed from the start. One need look no further than the ISL. So we accepted a concessionary contract full of Easter Eggs for El Heffe.
Of course, you'd actually have to read the thing, and ALPA policy, and have some sort of historical perspective, and the ability to connect dots, etc etc etc to figure this all out. But hey, we'll get em next time! Right.

That itself is the problem. New policy that cuddles the UAL pilots so they don't pull a us airways. You are hiding your windfall behind a policy that is unfair. You can claim bructia created it, but reread his testimony. He clearly states what his position on this was. I would just love to hear a logical reason a furloughed pilot should go ahead of an active pilot. 73 fo then and 73 fo now. Do you really believe it that's simple.
Now they have bonus seniority.

Can't hide behind awards, and "it's managements fault" forever. Kind of ironic, that ALPA's play at self preservation has actually created the most dysfunctional pilot group, that will not achieve unity for 20 yrs. the contract y'all so blindly voted in will be our contract for the next 10 yrs. if you think for one instant that I will ever stand united with this group you are sorely mistaken.

What seniority are you talking about. I hope it's not hire date. I will explain it again, please put on your listening ears. Your hire date at UAL, provided your schedule, seat, and aircraft. Ours did the same at cal. But it has no bearing when groups are merged. Airlines hire at different times, go through bankruptcies, buy and sell aircraft. Your years of service at your old company don't matter in a fair lists, only what you bring to the table, so to speak. ALPA changed that to help UAL pilots. Afraid they would be voted out if y'all weren't kept happy. I can't fathom how you don't see that. Did you lose your helmet again? Insurance only covers two a year please be more careful.

The CAL pilots bring so much pilot culture baggage to this merger: scabs, management friendly union and pilots, profit sharing, delayed JCBA, skewed negotiations like pay banding which are valueless in SLI but we have to live with, incompetent reps (Pierce, Baron, Cook, Sally), egregious SLI proposals, misleading communications to pilots.. the list goes on....
And guys come on here arguing BS, without having the courage to own their baggage. Thinking if they keep arguing it will change reality...
