Default Profit Sharing 2013

Skynet says employees to get 190mil in profit sharing. Any Math guru's out there who can calculate the pilots share?

From your W2, deduct all lump sum payments including last years Profit Sharing. My guestimate is between 3 and 4% of your W2.

I had a similiar answer with a different method of getting there, so I think about 4% is right.

I took the ratio of this year to last year 190M (2013) versus 119M (2012) and then bumped it up based on the pay raise we have received. In my case I figure with the higher profit and the pay raise (plus I flew a little more) it will end up being about double the 2012 payout. You can look what you got for 2012 by looking back at a payment on 2-14-2013.

You could get more accurate by comparing your earnings for the two years, but be sure to include only flight pay, vacation pay, and sick pay. Don't include any of the profit sharing from last year, on-time bonus stuff, or other credits to our total compensation. Even with that it will still just be an estimate as we don't know what the total earnings for all employees will be. (or how much that changed)

And to emphasis 'other' in post above, don't forget to back out each input of the Noble Prizing worthy quadratic formula known as our "lump sum" payment.
