Great...they can be broken in by the 83 hires. I would like to see better for the new hires.

Actually I was just doing the math and there are 448 L-CAL that are eligible to bid it that are below the junior 787 FO, and they will probably need another 200+ FO's by the 25th airframe, so it might very well be that newhires are awarded it prior to L-UAL guys being able to bid it.

I'm sure the other FO can educate the half winger about the scab mentality. Right?

I wouldn't count on that...more than a few Marvin's in the right seat of that thing I've shared enough van rides in LAX where he 787 crews were all chums.

"Hey cAPT, this sure is going to be swell layover in Lagos. I've never been there before so do you mind showing me around. I'll buy the first round for your efforts!"

Any questions?

As a half winger, i can assure you that we have been properly educated as to the proper overnight etiquette when flying with a scab. Of course i am on a LUAL fleet, as is ElGuapo, so cant speak to those that trained in the south.

EG,

The 787 vacancy would go by seniority list order, if unfilled:

6. Should there be insufficient bidders from one premerger pilot group for
any position in the allocated group of positions under paragraph 5 above, the filling of
the position will be governed by the ISL.

Oh, so if the Cal guys don't bid it the fence comes down? I always thought newhires could bid it before the fence comes down but that makes much more sense.
