At said job fair you are too late to get in line even if you arrive at 0400, Delta likes "Air Lines" while United likes "Airlines." Spend years without PIC turbine and finally getting it in my forties and now it's not necessary anymore.
Holy Shmeer. Just an old guy complainin.'
If it's not worth it - don't apply.

Try being furloughed twice ......once was enough for me but I already had a UAL seniority number so it worked out.

Not a lot of sympathy out there for your "I am over 40 and I am not at a major - whoah is me BS. "
Keep plugging away until you are called or give up - those are the only two choices.

What. I can't have an opinion?

Oh. I've been furloughed twice as well.

Are you referring to the "Fast Pass" for AA? Having never been to a WAI conference, I was under the impression that I was going to be standing in the line forever but I would still get there. Is that incorrect?

I was referring to the "fast pass".... With regards to visiting with other recruiters I am not sure, but I think you can wait in line.....I am planning on waiting for American if I can. I do have guaranteed times with United, Delta, and Alaska. Everyone still has slot times available with the exception of American.

God, this sounds awful. Never went to a job fair, paid a dime, or waited for anybody to gush over me. Is this seriously what happens?

Coming from corporate it is SOP for a guy like me. Especially with the 121 Legacy carriers, we really have to sell ourselves because we make up such a small part of the pilots given opportunities to be interviewed.

You have to obtain a membership and sign up for the conference to get the fast pass times.

Just got off the phone with WAI.....if you don't have an appointed slot time you cannot speak to a recruiter. I was told there is no waiting around....those who plan on going should get signed up ASAP.
