Mixed engine types on Fifi are no problem. Lots of airlines do it. We have hundreds of other airframes with CFM's. I am sure most of the parts are the same. The fan on Fifi is bigger than on the 737.
Good rumors. I hope they are true.

I thought I was the only one that realized I was getting screwed by the donut hole.

That was all. I would be horrified for F9 if they actually did what my jaded suggestion purposed.

That doesn't necessarily mean 130 this year. They started the removal (of more than 130 50-seat aircraft) prior to 2015, will complete it by the end of 2015. Investor Update "as of April 23" shows 112 express a/c leaving this year, 49 coming in. I like that trade.

Following quotes taken from the Q1 News brief:
So looks like 55 787s in total but 10 777-300ERs. Not a bad trade. Presumably that doesn't impact deliveries already scheduled for this year so we still hit 25 787s in December.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for 20 rather than 10
Good news all around though!
Exchange 10 787 orders with Boeing for 10 777-300ERs for delivery beginning in 2016.
The company is in final negotiations regarding the lease of 10 to 20 used narrowbody aircraft for delivery over the next few years.
Good news all around though!

Please realize that I was just throwing out a horrible, purely financially based, screw the F9 pilots scenario that I could totally see management doing. After watching my wife try to stay sane in the past with Tilton seemingly doing *anything* to screw labor, I was throwing out an idea that would screw the most labor and pay the most management. As one would expect in the end.
That was all. I would be horrified for F9 if they actually did what my jaded suggestion purposed.

I understand now, my sincere apologies to you for saying otherwise.
I would imagine there will be more mergers in the future, and hope we can do the right thing when it counts.
All the best,
SP

said in conference call question period:
10-20 used aircraft are "similar vintage" and have "high commonality" with existing fleet.
Houston Rasm is down 5% yoy.
pilot availability is an issue in the acceleration of RJ parking.

These Airbii are pretty much ours. However, think about how long it's taking just to get UA planes and CO planes to align. Then imagine getting a Chinese plane to be United legal.
Be patient, and be glad we are hiring to fill the seats.
