Come on Ben do the right thing for UNITY that you wanted everyone else to do.
It's great for UNITY to relish in someone's demise. Such a classy post.

Everyone remember, I think the min/max sheet is next to worthless. We have it because the contract requires it. But they can spin the numbers any way they want. Create shortages or overages based on some crystal ball.

Yes it is a tool, but don't put too much stock in it. Bump wherever you want and can hold. Bumping into a maxed out category means next to nothing.

I'll take that title, no problem, much better than gloating about bumping somebody out of their position. You sound excited at the prospect of being a "Captain anywhere" at the expense of another. Just like there were some who were excited in '84 to be getting a flying job at CAL at the expense of another.

HA. So now I'm a scab by following the ALPA contract? You're comical. First off...bumps do not bump anybody that is not named. So it's not at the expense of another. Secondly... The strike was in '83 (when you were like 6 y/o).

Didn't Jeff, Fred and JayP create this problem?

You're right, bumps/displacements are part of the profession, and there are provisions in our contract dealing with displacements. Your base is closing thus you're displaced. As you state, you can hold Captain in a lot of bases, but not all bases have vacancies, or will have vacancies in the future. Those bases can absorb up to 2% above the published min, so as you plot your course in your little war room, there are some categories that you may bump in to that'll exceed that 2% and potentially result in a secondary displacement. Of course you already know this so your question is a bit disingenuous, but you can play the "Hey, I'm just being a good union member and am simply following the contract..." all you want (funny as I hear that same rationale from folks who would JRM while pilots were on furlough, very scab-like), but your gloating on a public forum shows your true colors. So no, I'm not calling you a scab as that designation is for those who cross picket lines, but it doesn't mean one does not exhibit scab-like tendencies from time to time without actually being a scab.

To your second point about how old I was during the strike....funny, whenever I've talked down about scabs in front of scabs they use the same exact point you just used in an attempt to downplay my comment. Once a scab, always a scab and I will not hesitate to call a scab a scab, I don't go out of my way to do it, but if the scab is being a$$ then I will call it out. I do find it ironic that I'm having this discussion with you, I though the LUAL culture was no mercy for scabs. Should us LCAL '05-'06 hires just "shut up and color" when it comes to the scab issue? There are many of us who didn't have any skin in the game back then, hell I suspect you didn't either.

Back to your plotting and strategizing about your bump and then gloating about it on a public forum offering anonymity.

Your naiveté is showing if you truly think that only those pilots on the property during the last pilot strikes have skin in the game.

I'm on my 6th CEO in this joint and ironically on my 6th bump. The only constant I can offer is that it sucks to be junior.
