Displacement bid out

So I am naive by acknowledging the fact that I wasn't actually here walking the picket line? That is, after all, what my meaning of "skin in the game" was intended to be in that post.

24.....maybe you weren't around for the circle jerk euphoric posts from the '05-'07 ex-Con crowd during the Upgrade Party. Or maybe you were one of the many who were banned and now you're back as 24/48. Either way...I told yous guys then that the BS out of seniority upgrades would be rectified. And you bet your ascot I'm gonna gloat about being right. But I'll give you this....those upgrades have given me and my homies some serious reserve cushion.....and for that, my anonymous aas says THANK YOU.

You're right, bumps/displacements are part of the profession, and there are provisions in our contract dealing with displacements. Your base is closing thus you're displaced. As you state, you can hold Captain in a lot of bases, but not all bases have vacancies, or will have vacancies in the future. Those bases can absorb up to 2% above the published min, so as you plot your course in your little war room, there are some categories that you may bump in to that'll exceed that 2% and potentially result in a secondary displacement.
LUAL guys will bump in to bases that can't hold that many Captains.
Then…the junior LCAL Captains will be bumped off the bottom.
The big seat grab perpetrated by the 2005-2006 hires will finally be fixed.

Remember though. What started all of this was one of the little darlings correcting me when I talked about the inevitable bumps. No bumps, no flush and it was true because Fred told him it would never happen.

That said, we don't need to re-hash the emotional arguments of the SLI. We enter section 6 negotiations in less than a year so maybe we should put the divisive BS aside and come together to fix the many problems we see in the UPA. Or, folks like you can continue to post in the sophomoric way that you do, because it makes you feel good. Have a nice day.

I tried to tell them that airlines close bases, grow bases, shrink bases....and that they were wrong. "No bump" only had to do with the original SLI.
They laughed it off.
I didn't make a big deal out of it. I knew they would be faced with reality eventually.
