You say he took 14-02, it was offered well before the SLI. No one knew for certain what would happen. I am sure he is well aware of his ability to downbid out. Why he wants out is anyone's guess but he will still be at the bottom of any 73 base he goes to so your buyers remorse bit is incorrect. For some reason you seem overly concerned with his bidding situation instead of trying to help him improve his plight and offering info that could help, such as Dave Fitzgerald has done.
I hope he finds a trade and you find peace as hate will eat you up inside. I'm worried about you.

Everything is ruled by Seniority now. No more seat grabs or special deals.

I hope he finds a good trade as well. However, if he looked at the JP "staple every L-UAL pilot hired from February 1997 and beyond to the bottom of the seniority list" proposal and believed it was a logical and likely solution, then he may very well have buyer's remorse.

No evidence of this. He has been in the position for almost two years...an eternity in the aviation business. Everyone at this level knows anything can happen at any time. He is looking for a trade that is going to put him on the bottom of a new list. How might he have buyers remorse? He probably took the bid cause he wanted to be in that position. BTW JP was not on the committee that came up with the proposal and had little to no influence over it. You guys need to get over it.

Turns out the fences didn't really work as planned. 0 LCAL pilots on the 747 and 26 LUAL pilots on the 787, including the top 8 FOs in SFO. Its just going to get worse when the fence falls completely. Especially in LAX.
I can see why no one wants to take credit for that SLI proposal. I'll bet if you asked any of them they'd claim it was one of the other members that really wanted it and not them. They probably wanted to actually use the union policy and not make their own up.

Amazing, JP was likely the most divisive element in the divide of the 2 groups. He marched to a tune dictated by the undesirables and the "friends of Fred" to that end. You will never clean his image and he will likely spend the remainder of his United career walking the halls with his head down in shame. You can keep trying for entertainment purposes.
