So i guess a $15,000-50,000 a year raise (roughly) isn't good for us? You realize that is more than a large percentage of the US population makes in a year, and that is our raise. The median income for the US was $51,939 in 2014.

I get it, we should get more, things were taken away in bad times, they should be given back in good times. But there also needs to be some realism that we are talking about a lot of money, more to be made with new flying added on our top paying aircraft, more to be made if you feel fit to extend instead of nothing as it is right now, a very real possibility of NSNB aircraft, and potential (although poorly worded IMO) additional raises depending on Delta.

I don't think that was the quote :

He said,"
We don't want to kill the golden goose, Dubinsky told Goodwin. ''We just want to choke it by the neck until it gives us every last egg.'' From the NYTimes.

Prophet? We are discussing the history about which you obviously uninformed and/or unappreciative. What do they say about those who don't know history?

I am not embarrassed nor apologetic about the $ pilots make or should make. It is obvious many pilots don't think we deserve it.

And I agree with you, and I believe we are worth every penny we get paid and deserve even more. But we aren't in negotiations any more. And this seems like a pretty good chunk of change we are getting IMO. I love to think of the future, but I also have to be realistic that things can change very quickly and we have to work with what we have right now, in this time.

That's a joke! So you're telling me that my 27K in retro pay 4 or 5 years from now will still be in the deal. No way in H... Plus, the years of not having it in my B fund or wherever else I choose to put it is a pure loss. Plus, you're forgetting that I have to continue to work for years 9, 10, & 11 until reaching 12 about the same time we get a new contract without the raise. Give me a brea! Not BS!

With the leverage we have and the incoming leadership it would not take that long and yes LOA25 would be the number one item. It shouldn't have taken this long and easily could have been done as a stand alone LOA.

woulda coulda shoulda...been a big brown bear. THIS leadership brought us C2012 and THIS leadership just brought us a deal that remedies LOA 25 and brings us industry leading pay. Why wait? Let's get it NOW. Sure am glad we get to vote!

Fair enough. I assumed you were voting no based on your polls, but if I put words in your mouth my apologies. I agree fully with the need to be realistic about all facets of the parties involved, the RLA and how it worked, the negotiating environment, and the details of the TA

You absolutely cannot say that with any degree of certainty. You have NO idea how long it would take. None of us do. THAT is the $1.12 Billion question
