Premium pay for them to work on their birthdays also.

Somehow United always manages to have me in a sim on my birthday. I guess it is their gift to me.

Just takes 50% + 1. BOOM
It's like Sally Struthers used to say...."do you wanna make more money? Sure, we all do". Vote yes.

Instead some of you here want to throw the dice on an idea that we can get above the 18% we are getting plus make up what we will lose in lost earnings from now until we sign your Unicorn contract....Unicorns don't exist...this TA exist...it is real...it is here..now...wake up!!!
Hear, Hear! Explain to me how an extension will harm our way of life for the next 3-years?

Do folks actually believe the company will make our contract a priority before 2018 if we vote "No"?

We have a contract...they are offering an extension that addresses our previously Furlough brothers/sisters, some pay and a few other things. Nothing is perfect, but maybe as unified pilot group during the next round will finally bring "sunshines, lollipops and rainbows."

Our previously furloughed brothers and sisters will get paid. I think it's immoral to use them as a pawn. First during the jcba/sli and now for this. We're being played like a fiddle.

Oh, and we'll get'em next time. Sure thing money bags.

I think this is a prime example of why the NSNB order was removed from the negotiations. It would be viewed by many as a carrot, and the fear would be that SJS would woo many pilots to vote "yes" on an agreement that otherwise would be voted down because it didn't stand on its own merit.

I strongly disagree that correcting LOA 25 in this agreement is using our previously furloughed brothers and sisters as pawns. If we were to assume that were true, the only way to NOT use them as pawns would be to keep an LOA 25 out of the discussion? This appears to me to be a "no good deed goes unpunished" situation. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Paragraph two meet paragraph one. Your carrot described regarding NSNB order perfectly describes why LOA25 should not have been involved in the discussions topics PROPOSED BY THE COMPANY. All I hear is "how could you vote against our once furloughed pilots" and "do you realize how much I stand to lose if this TA is rejected?" Yep, carrot meet stick.

LOA25 is a rounding error for this multi-billion dollar corporation but they are most definitely using it to ram this extension through.
