I'm just rolling my eyes. must be fun to sit in your cockpits for a four day trip. are you guys like this at home, too???

What's a four day trip?:D
However, we do occasionally chat about such matters poolside in the Caribbean or Hawaii..but only if cocktails are in hand(s)

Just as a rule of thumb, info from a CPO is just as worthless as a TK rumor.

Having been back at TK for almost two years. I have to agree. I love when crews pimp me for false info. Guys we know not one single thing that the line doesn't already know. And if we do have cutting edge information its most likely incorrect, purely false or some small sliver of truth subject to wild modification.:)

Haha! yep forgot about those too. Was thinking the 756 fleet when I was on it with the 764 and its GE engines, so really we have 3 engine types on a single fleet. All the more reason it shouldn't be a big deal for these busses.

Really, you're an instructor at TK. What fleet?

The fleet where the instructors didn't get hired during the strike in 85.

I always took Airhoss to be a standup guy and now you imply he was involved with scabs. I don't think he's old enough or senior enough to be included with that lot.

Then again you don't know what/who the Tracy pilots are and continue to call the 570 scabs. Have you ever taken the time to read 'Flying the Line'?

It really burns you that ALL 570 are all senior to you and it most cases much younger.

It's funny that the new hires know more about the UAL and CAL histories then you - why is that? Do you find your F/O's looking out the right side more lately? Wait, you are a captain - right?

Obviously, I wasn't referring to Hoss.

You are too easy Staller.
Me thinks thou doth protesteth too much.

I don't want to get into the debate y'all are having ( I have no place in it ), but I am extremely interested in the history. Is the book you refered to a good start point?

Please tell me that the cockpits aren't as contentious as these threads. I've held both CAL and UAL on a pedestal for a while. The combination of these airlines (from the outside) seems like a great place to be. I truly hope that my "Target" airline is not/will not become what US Air and AWA became....

Am I wrong?

Cockpits are nothing like this. There are some that can't let go of their legacy airlines, but by and large (other than scabs and the few who are throwing their money away in a lawsuit) it's a great pilot group! Best of luck getting on.
