We brought 3 cats out from California to Newark using PetSafe about 3 years ago. I think I got a discount but really can't recall. United has a website that discusses how to do it .. briefly, you'll need an approved kennel and your pet needs a "safe to fly" letter from the Vet within about 5 days of the flight. Most of the big airports have a PetSafe office away from the terminal. At Newark, it's at the end of the terminal , middle level departures.

Got a puppy that’s growing like a weed and will no longer be able to ride in the cabin. Called PetSafe and the United discount is 75% off. You can find their rates online and then just take 75% off that. All regs are there too to make sure you’re compliant when you show up.

Now what am I going to do with my emotional support gorilla?

He doesn’t get half the second looks from the FO as my seeing eye lion.

I shipped a puppy from DEN to JAX through pet safe. It was an excellent experience. They lavished attention and care on the little guy. He even got a frozen water bowl so that he'd have water for the whole trip. I have to say that I was impressed. The lady running the pet safe here in DEN really does care about pets.

Was commuting home on a 50-seater. Full flight, looked like I was going to the jump seat. Here comes 20-something hottie with her emotional support Great Dane. No additional ticket for Marmaduke. She argued that he could sit under the seat. This behemoth wasn’t getting under any chair smaller than Lincoln’s on the National Mall.

I got to ride in back.
