While you (and others) have provided tons of useful information here, this thread isn’t meant to help people to decide whether they should apply to work here or not and whether this is a good place to be or not.
Rather it’s a thread for people who’ve already decided.
They’re simply looking for the latest and greatest on interviews, class sizes, interview gouges, class size plans, latest hiring rumors, etc., etc.
So not so much if but how to get hired.
(At least that’s how I understand the title of this thread.)

I humbly disagree.

If I am correct these smaller aircraft are contractually agreed to by the mainline pilots and limited in size and number.
Ups also has limited subcontracting spelled out. Ie. like the majors pax airlines. IPA pilots are not required to fly say a shorts 360 or the hundreds of smaller aircraft UPS uses everyday to move the cargo.
What was not agreed upon in contract talks is the land grab UPS is now attempting.
With no enforceable scope clause UPS will run roughshod over its pilot group.

You'll need to read up on your history a bit. Scope at the legacies as it currently stands was not some friendly agreement. We are fortunate that UPS does not currently have the ability to force a change to our scope clause in the contract.

I don't understand your recommendation to read history, what is it in history you think would educate me about the enforcement of contractual scope clauses?
Where else in the US legacy airline industry is a company challenging scope in the manner UPS has decided to attempt?
Ups IS currently forcing a change to our scope clause. The change has already happened. The IPA is in a court process now reverse this change.

Don't know why you guys are *****ing about WG and Air21 doing our flying. Best case scenario, we're on the verge of getting some serious coin in exchange for all of those lost jobs and upgrades. Rumor has it we could be looking at almost $200 more a pilot each month should we win our case. Ka Ching!!!

The position is that scope at the legacies is a contractually agreed to situation. UPS has a contractually agreed to scope also as I stated before, which they are violating.

Much of the scope at the legacies was forced down the pilots throats via bankruptcy. Myself and every other pilot on property are furious at the company's violation of our scope clause. Personally, I believe our union is on top of and will take care of this problem. That doesn't mean I'm ok with what the company is doing though. I'm only saying the grass isn't greener. The cat is out of the bag at the legacies and there is no recovering scope going forward. We still have a fighting chance to keep what is rightfully ours. I wouldn't trade our situation for theirs.
