RNO Flyer, What I did was subtract out my instructor/eval time from my PIC time, then entered that time in the PIC column and instructor/evaluator time in that column and my total PIC time came out correct.

Still waiting for a Hogan invite. Received a business card from a recruiter, sent a 'thank you' email, he responded and asked for my latest resume. That was a few months ago.

Hoping the new year brings the Hogan invite, interview and eventually CJO.

Hi all,

I have the CJO for January 28th. Anybody have any intel on which fleet they are putting newbies in? An unofficial source said 75/76 until end of February?

Thanks and good luck to all applying!

First of all, welcome aboard!! Things seems to be fluid. I heard they combined the Jan 3/4 classes. As you know, they had been splitting them up since middle of this year. Expect everything, maybe slightly less 74 until our sim is up and running, sometime in February. The 74 is ridiculously behind in staffing but has the least training capacity, oddly enough.

Is the window for the 2019 app already closed? Can't find a job posting anywhere, and using a link it says the job has been closed. I have an "active" app from 2017 and an "inactive" app from 2018. I never received the email some are talking about that just went out recently...

TIA.

Last year the job posting disappeared for a week or so around the end of the year, only to reappear on Jan. 1. Not sure why this happens, but it seems like the same pattern.
Keep checking and it will likely reappear soon.

180 vacancies available to newhires after today's vacancy bid award:

747 ANC: 49 = possibly backlogged for a while
—————————-
A30 SDF: 35
M1F SDF: 25
.......................60 total
—————————-
757 SDF: 34
757 ONT: 25
757 MIA: 8
757 SDFZ: 4
.......................71 total 75/76 slots

Recent Class history:
Dec class of 8 was all 75 (4 x Z or “intl”)
Nov was all airbus (6)
Oct: 7 x 75/76, 2 bus, 1 747
Sept: 10 whale, 5 bus, 2 MD, 5 x 75 (1ONT)
Aug B: 7 x 75 (4 ONT), 1 bus
Aug A: 4 MD, 13 whale
July B: all 75 (3 MIA, 1 ONT, 3 SDF)
July A: 9 whale

All 74 and MD new hires were former heavy drivers, majority from civilian backgrounds. Obviously if you don’t have these creds don’t expect to be assigned the whale or MD. OTW, it seems the 75 will continue to be well represented for new hires.

Interesting stats from above:

Only 4 of those new hires from the last 6 months of came directly from the regionals: 2 republic, 1 SKYW, 1 ExpsJET. Note: many atlas and ACMI folks were former regional flyers.

4 (total) came from Spirit, AK, and USA jet.

19 were corporate

Handful from Cathay

A couple from Asian contracts

A big bunch from the ME (mostly Mrats)

Atlas very well represented

Various ACMIs but when combined still less than Atlas total

Mil was mostly USAF, then ANG, and sadly only a couple navy guys.

So from a hiring standpoint, is there a threshold for how many internal recs is a minimum target? Along the same lines, I see no place on the app for external recs. Is there a place or way to send these, or does UPT want internals only?
