Now the question remains on how does UPS get those MD's to the boneyard? We have a retired Boeing (NOT a McD) guy living in our neighborhood and he says his buddies say the proposed fix does not work. If that is the case, FX and KD will follow suit and there are going to be a bunch of MD's needing a lift, or will be taken apart on site, which is extremely costly. Wish nothing but the best for you guys...... CHEERS!

My guess is that some will be donated to the airports they are stuck for fire training and the rest scrapped on site. UPS did it in 06 on the 8 in Philly. It might cost, but there also may be a bigger cost in the fix.

Or we sell a few to WGA, then pay them to operate as a contract carrier.

They can stand up a new fleet in 12 months easily.

There won't be a new fleet. 74, 76, 75, A-300 is it. Now that the MD has been retired, the "emergency" is over. Scope needs to be enforced and the contract jets gone.

This is what really matters. The camel’s nose under the tent needs to be broken and evicted. Scope is our long term leverage. Without it we are screwed.

The FAA will issue special ferry permits to the west coast bone yards. Flown by management. Then parted out and Beer Cans.

Hopefully the IPA doesn’t work some side deal and upholds the contract. I’m betting the company is asking for concessions and offering something in return. The EB needs to tell them to go screw themselves.
