Emirates, Etihad and Qatar airlines. They're going to have to add Norwegian to that list as well...lots of challenges on the international side for Delta, United and AA.
Anyway, I digress. I don't know about the other me3 but Emirates is starting to show some cracks including aircraft order several. It's pretty hard to find a sustainable business model in the passenger world these days. Now it looks like our big boys are going to try the economy minus thing of four themselves. You can't be all things to all people. Give up on the schlepers and do a better job for the rest of us. This will probably work as well as when ups tried to haul pax. |

Missed Service,
Don't know how old you are, but read a history book about the hysteria after Reagan "The Cowboy who was going to March us to nuclear Armageddon with the Soviets" was elected. The weak and feable Left was soooo fearful about the implications of Reagan's tough stance against the Soviets. Turns out the Soviets recognized that they weren't going to get away with all their BS anymore and ultimately made moves to accommodate Reagan's policies. The same wusses shrieked like chicken little after the Lybia bombing in 1986. After that raid, they cried , Like Schumer, that the Lybian's were going to exact revenge on us..turns out that kept real quiet for a looooong time..don't be scared, everything will be ok. Wow...that was unsolicited. Comparing trumpty dumbty to the great Reagan? You're stretching a bit aren't you? Also try to explain to all of us why a union guy like yourself voted republican (assuming you did, actually im sure you did). How is that Right to Work rules going to work out when half the membership decided they're not going to pay dues because the law allows them to get freebies from unions and not have to open their wallets? |
Capitol Hill section of the B&G or FB if you want to discuss politics.

Missed service,
My post was in response to your doom and gloom predictions. Its happened before, and the predictions weren't even close (my examples) Just trying to cheer you up.. |
Back on topic if you are concerned about the A plan. We do have one provision to fall back on sound they try to monkey with it too much. For those that aren't here and don't know, our monies are co mingled with the managers plan. He's, they could go bankrupt and ditch the pension but they would be losing their own as well so in theory, we have some pretty good protection compared to some of what we've seen in the rest of the world where managements play games on BK to get rid of the hourly pensions while keeping their own. Theirs is ours and vice versa

Any dates set for classes in February or March?
|
Yes tied to the managers. Not the execs. Don't forget 1200 untouchable ground managers were laid off in 2008-2009 by CEO Davis. The top three guys and board don't care about managers anymore then union guys. As they say its just business.
