550Guy, another Corporate guy here, I'm a captain for a 135 and plan on applying as soon as the application opens back up. I've heard about some problems that corporate guys have had recently and I'm worried about Brown steering clear of my app as a result. Any advice you have would be awesome!
As to the training issues of those with a corporate/135 background- there have been some additional training events (a higher number than in the past) of people with non-121 backgrounds. Although there were also military and 121 people who needed additional training as well. Ultimately they all got through their respective programs. A few folks were let go last summer, two were because of training issues (both longtime 121 pilots) and one was let go due to a personality conflict (he was a corporate guy).
Don't let your 91/135 background dissuade you from applying at UPS. They do a good job of hiring great personalities.

CL300 summed it up perfectly. Have no worries about a bias towards corp guys, I know 3 that interviewed after me and are in the pool.
The most important aspect of the entire UPS interview process in my opinion is "Attitude". They dig a little and uncover the real you...
Best of luck.

^^^what all those guys said.
After the early 2015 hire went back to his previous Pt.91 employer before completion of IOE I was concerned there would be a bias going forward against bizav pilots...that does not appear to have been the case as a good number were hired in 2016.
As CL300 said, you just gotta make a compelling argument to them during the interview that yes, you know what you are getting yourself into going from bizav to night freight and that as a bizav pilot you are highly adaptable and flexible dealing with all that "Hey we wanna go to HPN not TEB, no let's go to PBI instead, we'll still have a Suburban available at the FBO right?" stuff you already deal with.

Then it's probably a good thing that you're not the hiring guy, because it's a good job, and someone who will do "anything" to get said job, is probably exactly the kind of guy UPS (as well as many other employers) would want. Anything, being defined as: anything legal and above board.

One of the biggest issues you'll have as a corporate/135 guy is being able to convince them why you want to leave a (mostly) daytime flying gig, one leg to a nice hotel, couple day layover, and one leg back home for a night freight job. They will try to dissuade you from coming here- it's all part of the process. You cannot let it discourage you and you must convince them you want to be at Brown. It's all part of the process for a corporate guy. They won't push back very hard, but they want to know you're 100% committed to being here.

Just think man.... never again will you have to :
run a Flight Attendant to the store for "restock".
Vacuum an airplane.
Clean the lav ( please tell me we don't have to clean the lav).
Explain to ATC why you are diverting to MMU, when you said TEB, but your flight plan was for HPN.
(My personal fav) stare out the window at 30W wishing you were in the UPS MD11.
