Do you know the start date for the 747 class in Dec?

I didn't mean to kill the thread with this question, lol. I was just curious as I am waiting for a class date as well.

12/5. Much smaller class size than normal.

Then, use the Atlas interview for practice so you will have a better shot at a successful interview at a good airline with real work rules and industry standard pay.

... or if you don't get a call from United or FedEx prior to an Atlas class date, you may decide to endure the Atlas training cycle to generate a type rating for your resume. If given the choice, go for the 767. Fedex seems to like that one!

Just saw your message while catching up on posts. Endure the training cycle? Just wondering, how bad,,, or not so bad is it? Thanks.

7 1/2 weeks on the 767 and 9-10 weeks on the 747 is what I am seeing right now here in Miami.

It's quite doable but understand that the course is largely self taught. There are a couple weeks worth of classroom time but if that's your only exposure to the material then there will be rocky times. The classes who band together and form study groups do well. The classes who consist of lone wolves, not so much.

Swimmers' doldrums. Come on! Anyone called or have some perspective on the January classes?

Analysts expect rising expenses as Atlas Air reports 3Q loss following executive payout - The Loadstar

Notice what happened to the cash reserves? Does it appear mgmnt is planning on sticking around much longer?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they announced a "change of control" in the 3q earnings call, which triggers the Execs $66.6 million payout. I would be willing to bet they've checked out... I can't say I'd go to an airline as a new-hire with so much uncertainty- Are we being sold? Will we ever get a well deserved CBA? How low can moral really go? Is AAWH being parted out or separated? Will I ever get to OE? haha!
