sadly, the Corporate WAY, in these last 2 decades. And we encourage it by defending it, as the American WAY.

The penalty should not be short of death, because the effects of poor decisions affecting so many people.

I see no difference between a corrupt CEO and a scumbag TSA employee stealing items from bags. Same level.

A couple of question for you guys and gals,

Do perspective applicants get any points for living in one of your pilot bases? I was told Spirit might prefer to higher people that live in base, thinking they wont take the free A320 type and bolt somewhere else so this might be a factor. I am planning a move to a city that has a pilot base and if this helps I would love to get this on my application. This leads to my second question;

What is the best way to keep your profile updated once you have been sent and filled out the second, "bigger" application? I filled it out in December and never heard anything, unfortunately I think I have been passed over for an interview for the time being. I still have the email that links me to fill out that second app, and thought about re-submitting it but wasnt sure if that would be a good idea.

BTW, thanks to all of you that have helped me out the last several months. Many of you have gone above and beyond to help me out both on this forum and in person. I have jumpseated with you guys a couple of times and the crews have been more than accommodating and helpful as I have been trying to get as much info and intel on getting hired with you guys... Cheers!

Excel:

I don't know if writing on your cover letter or application that you will move to a base will get you an interview or for that matter the job, but it wouldn't hurt mentioning that.

About the second application, I've heard that a lot of applicants have a lot of problems either updating the profile on our site. I'll try to find out some more about it.

If you have a link that still lets you update the application, by all means do it. I don't know if that puts you anywhere else than where you are on the list.

Sometimes being a pain in the arse when you want a job will get you that job, but with moderation.

Best of luck, and I'll post what I find out.

Cheers.

Thank you Sailor,

I am keeping my fingers crossed that there is still a slim chance I might get offered an interview at some point in the future, which is why I dont want to re-appply using the second app unless that is my best/only option. I am also trying to avoid being an overbearing pain in the ### but at the same time I want HR to know that I am serious about getting a shot with you guys. Thanks a lot for your help!
