I've been teamsters and ALPA that's how I know pal!

Yet the ALPA process has worked well for everyone in our peer set, except us. ALPA worked better at the major airline I worked for than the regional.

How do you know ALPA will treat you like the other majors? How do you know that they won't treat you like the regionals they supposedly represent? JetBlue is a low cost carrier, how do you know ALPA doesn't just want your dues and numbers? It seems to me like the legacies are ALPA priority. If JB was treating everyone so poorly it would seem that the union would have been voted in with an overwhelming majority in the past. But this is just the observations of an outsider looking in ..

If txbusdriver represents one end of the union spectrum you represent the exact opposite. Take a look in the mirror.

This website is for sharing opinions on matters that affect our industry and this thread is about our company. I don't see any problem in asking someone's view. Get over yourself.

The direct relationship (read being non-union) has provided the worst benefits in the industry. Now we are lagging in pay too. I'll take my chances with having representation then continue on with this charade the company is selling. If everything is so great, as you seem to think, then why are we about to have our third vote in 6 years??? Last time I checked, we the pilots of JetBlue will get to vote yes or no on our contract.

Day one of ALPA provides representation, aeromedical, legal assistance, access to additional insurance, and no more take it or leave it PEAs. That's worth it right there IMHO. I will gladly pay dues to end this game that is being played right now.

95+ percent of airline pilots in this industry are union members. Are JetBlue pilots the smart ones or the dumb ones? I think I know the answer.

Third time is a charm, good luck to you guys and hopefully it passes this time. Collective bargaining gave the industry pay, benefits, safety, technology, etc. Stand together with your fellow union brothers and sisters and lets continue to improve the industry those who came before us worked so hard to build.

The thing is most on this board employed by JetBlue have only been here a few years. For this demographic JetBlue still represents a good place to work. Chief pilots are seen as somewhat helpful, still trying. JetBlue management aren't bad people, simply misguided or even overwhelmed.

For those of us, like TX, who have been here closer to 10 years or more we have seen the reality. The management at this airline is just as bad or worse than any other regional or major. They are conniving, devious and ruthless. You are lead to believe otherwise because the airline employs a union busting firm and two marketing firms to make you think otherwise.

Pilots with longevity at JetBlue have seen and experienced the lies. Year after year, time after time. We've experienced unilateral cuts while being led to believe we've had a say. We are tired. We are frustrated. Each time a newer pilot defends the airline and it's management the statement is like finger nails on a chalk board. We get it, trust us. You want to believe things aren't as bad as they are. We get it.

The reality is it is, with callus precision.

ALPA didn't come looking for jetblue pilots... We went looking for ALPA.

ALPA will treat us how we deserve to be treated. Jetblue pilots representing jetblue pilots. Not some boogie man in the back.

The point is Ben you have an agenda and tend to make things up to make your points. That picture was only half the story and I have a feeling you didn't even bother to look into what the facts were (shocking). As I have said on bluepilots (as you know I now refuse to post there) you guys have very valid points and we do need to learn from you but if you would just stick to facts and respect people that might disagree with you, your posts might be taken more seriously.
Bash away.
