How much would letters of rec from a dispatcher, mid level manager, and a mechanic help? I know an ex-blue pilot who left for a major after 4 years and I am hesitant to ask him for a letter because of the emphasis they are putting on guys jumping ship. If my other letters of rec are good enough should I risk asking the pilot for one as well?

I know it may not get me into the interview but I am guessing they would help if I get the interview. Any insight would be appreciated.

Did I read correctly on another forum that Jetblue uses flight attendants as interviewers?

If they do or don't what's the problem with that? Are you looking for outrage if they do?
Flight attendants interact with the pilots on every flight. How often do people from the HR department interact with the pilots on the job?
FA's may have some good questions drawn from past experiences, negative and positive.

I don't know if that's true or not. I had pilots and HR people interview me. If it's true I hope pilots get to interview flight attendant applicants! That would be fun!

I agree with your points. But in the end the decision needs to be made by HR with the inputs from the pilot board.

I would stick with the 3 letters of rec you have. They want people who arent going to jump ship, and it shows you have the ability to jnteract with non-pilots in a meaningful way. Customer service is a big emphasis in the interview process.

Yes. I had a BOS Captain and a flight attendant co-interview me. The interview format consists of two people, one being a pilot and the other is usually a flight attendant or an HR person.

I dont think it is a big deal, but if they want to have FAs influence pilot hiring then i think the pilots should be involved in the flight attendant hiring (and not just for THAT reason )

What flyby said.

I have a huge problem with it.
There is NO good reason to have FA's interviewing our pilots.

I thought jetBlue was considered a major, isn't it? Forgive the ignorance, I am just trying to learn the proper terminology here.

No, we're just lowly #5... All the real airlines have declared bankruptcy and have wide bodies... Except for SWA, they've got luv.
