Interview Calls & Hiring Predictions

To the contrary, I took a list of common TMAAT questions from Interview Prep, and found different parts of my resume that had the best stories. Studied that way in a general form, ie my C-130 schoolhouse tour had plenty of examples for EPs, teaching, customer service in the form of teaching students etc. not designed to answer every TMAAT, but by studying my resume before the interview, I knew which jobs had the best stories for different TMAATs. Helped me relax during my interview in 2013. Also helped me come up with the best stories which they seemed to love.

From a council report
"The Company plans to hire 760 new pilots for the 2015 year. Overall training of pilots is behind schedule and will be until into 2016. Emphasis is on training pilots on the 737 fleet with backfills on the wide body fleet. We can expect one additional vacancy bid to come out before the summer schedule flying starts. Surpluses are expected to be minimal until at least after the summer flying ends."

Not necessarily. I am starting class the 17th with a few guys that interviewed the week after I did. Granted I interviewed on a Friday and these guys interviewed Tuesday and Weds the following week. Hope that helps.

As it has been discussed at length, every weeks successful candidates are put into a pool. They are removed from the pool by their SS# Lowest first. Example: Pilot A interviews on March 2nd and has a high SS#. Pilot B interviews on March 6th with a low SS#. Pilot C interviews on March 9th with a middle SS#. Pilot D interviews March 13th with a low SS#. When it comes time to fill classes, assuming all pilots from Feb 23rd week are placed, Pilot B gets called first, Pilot A gets called next and if after placing all pilots from that week, Pilot D gets a call and then Pilot C if there are still slots to fill.
