it wasn’t Nesbit. It was your Captain and FO reps who endorsed this and sent it out for a vote.

I told Nesbitt and everyone else trying to sell it that I thought it was garbage. I voted NO.

The union just said the company is not negotiating higher pay rates at this time so that means the highest hourly rate right now is $156.20 for an 18 year captain. I don’t see how that’s industry leading.

other airlines not hiring FO’s is keeping their applicant pool up. They are having classes of 10+ every two weeks. That’s a full class at AirWisconsin.

How many will bail once they can get on elsewhere that pays more? I’ve heard of new hires getting their types and ATPs and then bolting for Envoy, PSA or Endeavor.
Talking to former co-workers at AW, they’re telling me Aviate is now starting to take the senior guys.

I haven’t even seen the Aviate list since they revamped it into the no interview version that it is now. Does anyone know where to find this mysterious list?

The company just officially released their new retro logo to go along with the retro pay rates. If we think we went back in time, we might believe that our rates are industry leading, as the company has stated.

Easy distinction, back in time people liked working here.

Hi all, new to the forum--first post so please excuse my amateur question.
I'm retiring military heavy pilot looking at a few regionals due to recency and I don't have an unrestricted ATP. I'm interested in Air Wisconsin, PSA, Commute Air, etc due to east-coast domiciles, but having trouble understanding the pay frameworks. Specifically, if Air Wisc pays the lower 1st Yr FO hourly rate at $60/hr, do they have soft-pay that makes up the difference from what other $90+/hr rates the others are paying--ie is the total take-home pay all about the same for all of them? Or does Air Wisconsin really just pay that much less now? Am I missing something?

they really just pay less. Other regionals with higher pay aren’t hiring a lot of low time FO’s right now due to lack of captains. That’s keeping AirWisconsin’s classes full with low time FO’s, so they see no need to raise pay.
