Yeap. As long as they keep getting 10-16 new hires per class, they won't care about matching pay like other Regionals. Ive been here a year and now trying to leave. I like they folks I fly with, but can't make money with just minimum guarantee and almost no flying. Come march 1st, AA contract is to use only 40 acft, so 1/3 rd of the fleet will be parked. I foresee lots of time off and almost no open time. I don't want to lateral, but if I'm going to sit and not fly, might as well do it at $90/hr

Crickets. That’s all we are hearing from either side regarding possibly getting new pay rates. Does ALPA care anymore? Does the company care anymore? Isn’t anyone concerned that we are the lowest paid regional pilots right now? How is the company still attracting new hires? How long until there are no new hires because everyone finally figures out their paychecks are going to suck compared to just about every other regional?

Uh I’m guessing you’re not aware of the lack of need for FO’s right now. And a growing list of CFI’s at ATP mins not getting any calls from the airline. It’s simple supply and demand . AW likely has a full bin of CFI’s willing to work at current wages

I guess PBS is the current pile of crap that we have to step in on the path to a new contract with pay that isn’t pathetic. So likely several years before we see industry standard wages. I gotta hand it to the company. They really know how to drag their feet when it comes to negotiating with the pilots. It took like a decade or so to get the contract we currently have. As long as they’re able to convince people to continue working here, there’s zero incentive for them to pay us what other regional pilots are being paid.
