Hi guys.

I'm looking heavily into applying for Air Wis and just had a question...

How much simulated / actual muti engine time is involved with the endorsement and check to line? I'm just short on Multi hours and will probably have to buy a few to apply, but I'm just wondering if they would entertain an application with anything less than 50, as 25 can be in a simulator.

The minimum is 25 multi, if youve got that youre good to go.

Looking for information about ORF crashpads. If anyone has some leads, please let me know.

Thanks!

Go ahead and apply with your actual hours. They may just interview you anyway and then say you have a job when you contact us with the hours. If not, well you have an app on file awaiting you to update it with the minimums then the computer crawl will pull you up.

When I was ORF based there was literally zero there. A few here and there of crashing on another awac guys couch but that's about it. Hotels aren't very cheap either especially in peak tourist season (April-September). Very few people commute to Norfolk since the trips were very non commutable even for senior guys. Most guys/gals lived in Virginia Beach; as did I or the surrounding area. Not a bad area to live, Miltary town, just stick closer to the water front, not exactly a Palm Beach crowd that goes there for vacation either...

So youre saying Air Wis has a high washout rate??
My friend went to Pdt and out of 28 guys in his class 15 of them are gone including him, washed out or just quit.
Guys with prior121 time multiple type ratings etc.He said the training there is horrible. They dont train you, they just evaluate you he said.

Air Wis has always been a stellar company. Its to bad they keep having to reinvent what they do evey 5 years, And don't have new airplanes.. it comes down to in 4-5 year will that cross country commuting do you in, or is it worth it for the extra cash first few years..

For awhile we did, but we also had less than stellar applicants. The new pay seems to have changed that.

What class was he in? We have never had that many failures from a single class. Unless he was part of the group that got caught cheating on the written. Fired all but 2. My guess and it's pretty accurate would be <15 have failed NH training in 2017. Pdt gives multiple AD sim lessons for people struggling if they are willing to put extra effort in. Or maybe he was hired in 07/08 like me. Then yes, your numbers are 100% accurate. I had a bad sim, and next one was my make or break. Had 11 of 22 fail in sims.
