I think he is talking about the Base/Position Bid....aka upgrade or move base move bid we bidded on in Dec or Jan. Not schedule bids....

The is just OTZeagles way of making the junior pilots lives miserable even when they don’t have to fly with him.

That statement could not be more untrue. I want you all Captains. I want our industry thriving. This is depressing for all of us.The industry finally seemed to turn, then this. I wish everyone the best, I think everyone should be eyes wide open to their current situation. People need to be ready. We could end up furloughing no one, each day that goes by I am less optimistic though.

Newsflash: the entire industry just melted down. The situation is changing by the hour. There is no way to predict furloughs. It could be 2000. It could be none. It only depends on if we are in the situation where October 1:

A) Monty python bring out your dead. Yeah no one is going to be flying. Almost everyone has to go.

B) I can't believe that I had to sit in my house for a month. I'm going to check all my bucket list items this year.

Speculating about the amount is just dumb. There isn't any way to know it. It will probably be some, very narrowly none and most likely not all.

Anyone offering more than that is just stroking their own ego. Yes, I'm not blowing my money on a 2nd wife and a new car. I wasn't last month either.

The numbers I gave are Alaska Airlines current plan based on our economic modeling.

Company wants the Captain line taken back to approximately 1300 ASAP... It will save 3 million a month.

Well before that.......if demand sucks all Summer during peak profit time and then it spikes to normal in the not so profitable fall numbers....furloughs might still need to happen to get us through till the next spring. Who knows what's going to happen....the Company kind of needs to keep expectations to a level which MIGHT happen....then hopefully blows those low expectations out of the water if things turn around. Big if....some people don't even want to consider the economy till this thing is completely kicked...which is completely stupid given the statistics we are seeing.
