If we don’t furlough a single pilot this time around, that would be a miracle, but that is what was being sold for more then 75 days. “Company hasn’t even mentioned furlough”, this is a “Short term event and the company will not furlough for a short term event.” You go do the heavy lifting, I will leave you guys alone, that wasn’t really transparent though was it... I wrote a nice check in 2009 too, the only premium I flew ‘09-‘12, were re-assignments in base.
False. The most recent union podcast clearly mentioned the F word. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I will bite:
“Alaska pilots are the lowest paid in the industry” “AS management is purposefully running Airbus maintenance into the dirt to justify getting rid of it” ”All other NB pilots get an average of 4 days more a month off then AS” ”We have more EJets flying for us then any other airline” ”Because we have no scope, QX is going to fly NB aircraft soon” pre covid: “We are Loosing 2 million a day” ”Alaska is the worst managed airline in the US and we are about to go bankrupt” ”Alaska is going to furlough while all the other airlines are running new hire classes because our management is so stupid” ”Everyone is leaving AS because we are the worst airline” ”Alaska is not able to fill new hire classes, people just no show” “No one wants to talk to AS at job fairs because it is the worst job in the industry” I could go on and on... it’s one giant VX tantrum and broken record... all lies, exaggerations, and half truths. A lot of them are opinions that any pilot can easily verify. For example, AS publishes quarterly reports so any one can verify if they are losing 2 million a day or not. If L-AS pilots were not already ****ed off, they would not have responded to the "lies and half truths" as you put it, and unite to fight for a better contract. |
No bid? What's going on?
Now the earliest the bid can open is Monday right because they don't open them on weekends? So Monday June 15th open, has to be open 2 weeks = close June 29th, then another 2 weeks for award, puts the award out July 13. Then figure at least another week or two before the first training event can start. You're already at end of July before any training, maybe even Aug 1. Why the delay? I'll take it - at least I can enjoy my summer vacation. |

As I’ve been saying all along this is an incredibly dynamic situation and no one can know the staffing demands for the future.
I’ll risk being called a non contributing idiot again for mentioning it. At present rates of passenger growth every day of delay is a day in our favor. In my opinion this is a good thing. Time to see what my dart throwing monkey predicts... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

More accurate information by our OTZ! Glad you're around to give us half truths, false information and wild ass guesses. Thanks for being our rock during this difficult time.

It’s so weird how the union called it a dynamic situation.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
