Default Leave and Early Out Numbers

Will be interesting to see how many leaves and early outs. Heard an unverified number from someone who should know of over 100 retirement requests and over 1000 leave requests of various lengths. This was several days before the deadline. If this is accurate they should not have to furlough.

It came straight from a base call that 1000 had requested some type of leave.

1328 early outs and ELOA's. Company wont be awarding all of them. Furloughs completely mitigated. Thanks to everyone who participated! Where you at OTZ"4-500 guaranteed furloughs"EAGLE???!

And... Our amazing MEC is fighting to get the same options available to bid for if a future furlough is once again on the table!

Any idea on how many they are going to award? My gut is that the Airbus will get lots of love for people putting in for REIL, EIL and VELA due to putting off training and the thought of bases closed. SEA will likely get get less due to no training needed and that seems to be where the flying is getting added. Just my initial thoughts.

The way I read it is the REIL has to be done in overall system seniority and the company early out program is more base and equipment specific. Will have to give the REIL to a lot of senior 737 pilots before it gets to many people on the 320. I do think that any 320 pilot that asked for the company early retirement option (not the REIL) will get it. I have talked to several senior 737 pilots that opted to ask for the company program rather than the REIL. It's basically about cashing out the A plan and getting the lump sum which is not available if the company were to go bankrupt.
