Ok, let see how well your post ages! You write this a lot. Let’s give it a little time.

I had a line check the other day and I jokingly asked the LCA about rumors.....specifically, "hey, when are those 787s coming?"
and the LCA's response was "you guys need to stop listening to OTZEagle......stop feeding the internet troll "

Switching topics, looking for thoughts about how PBS implementation will impact quality of life, specifically for those on reserve. Open time now, which turns in to reserve assignments, is predominantly weekend, red eye flying. Also, is long call really going to be the default for reserve scheduling?

No one know, but I’m sure the same scraps will still fall to the bottom (just like any other airline). But hopefully you’ll at least be able to have more control over your days off. I believe LC will automatically be assigned if you don’t get a line, and then you can bid for non-convertible LC or SC. If you haven’t listened to the union podcasts yet you should.

I've listened to the podcasts and studied the relevant sections of the contract. I'm just trying to get a sense of the true impact. Captains I'm flying with think reserve >>>trips<<< will be even worse with the new system. My personal experience with scheduling hasn't been flawless so I'm also worried about the promise of long call not panning out.

Look that the trips that make up current OF lines and opentime. Those are what you can expect to be leftover after the PBS award is run. You'll have your pick of those and whatever trips gets called in sick for.
That said I think LCR will work out great, especially if you self assign so you have more control over your schedule. And if you have any seniority amongst the reserves, you may not fly at all.

There will be NO merger, and there certainly won’t be any widebodies. Growth will be limited if at all and folks are still leaving, btw.
