Give me a break. Your post absolutely reeks of narcissism.

Don’t need to, the post explains itself.

First, from your previous posts it appears that you weren’t even part of Alaska very long before you left. (Congrats…. Sincerely.)

Second, the MEC other officers, and yes voters, were made up of PLENTY of former VX’rs sooo, I guess that VX must have also hired a bunch of “yes men”.

Third, you voted with your feet and went to whatever aviation shangri La that hired you…. AND YET….. with all that, you still come on here for the sole purpose of deriding both the pilot group and union leadership.

why in the wide wide world of sports you’d let us, a bunch of “yes men” losers continue to live in your head rent free at this point is beyond me.

Like I said, pure narcissism. Funny thing is they are too dense to even realize it when called out on it…

You’re a pilot, as am I. I’m not an expert on negotiations and EFA items. That’s what our dues are for. They are SMEs in their field, and I’ll take their word for it on our agreement. Your camp is reacting on pure emotion, mostly after seeing 336/hr at Delta.

You weren’t at AS that long and you left before a TA was even a whisper, so you would have left regardless of what this new contract entailed, but your faux outrage is noted

It woulda been 5 years this month I think that’s plenty of time to have seen the inner workings of Alaska but hey keep setting low bars the industry sure loves it.

So of course their DOS will be 2023 and DOS+1 and +2 will be 1 yr further than ours - such is what happens when you get. A new contract one calendar year before others! How is this an argument?

“Same men who locked in rates below market NOW.”

Angry 18% continue being angry. There was no new market until the AS deal was signed. As for your last question, ask the ALPA EFA team. That’s what your dues are for. You had nothing before, zero scope, zilch, nada. This 3 yr package is close to 1 billion dollars in improvements.

If you want Delta pay now, go to airline apps and apply away. Speak with your feet like the ~370 pilots have this year. If not, then there’s no point whining now after a new deal was signed. Give it a rest until the start of the next round of negotiations. It’s counter productive and all you do is raise the blood pressure for no reason. You’re gonna get 17% 401K soon, 318 or higher Sept 1 2023 and definitely more than 331/hr for Sept 2024. It’s gonna work out fine.

Just because you keep trying to use the same rationale doesn't make it true. It's OK to say that, yes, we were coming from a bad place, and yes, gains were made while at the same time admitting the ball was dropped on the structure of the Snap Up. A new contract one year before the others? There was no new market until AS deal was signed? We didn't set the market. Ask any DAL pilot, it was the rejection by UAL and AAL pilots that set the market for DAL to get what they got. And they got that 5 weeks after our ink was dry.

I'm not angry. Ask anyone who knows me, I'm generally a pretty friendly guy in the cockpit. Somewhat frustrated? Sure. Perhaps I shouldn't have used the term company men. That was a mistake with what I was trying to convey. It's because I know we can do and deserve better.I'd take another look if I were you at your admiration of the EFA and it being the end all be all.Maybe admit to yourself that just because they said $306 was what they could get, it wasn't what the company could afford. Without being an expert myself, I'm assuming AAL and UAL had the same smart folks telling them this is what they could get. Guess what, the pilots rejected it, and by the looks of it, will get a lot more.

I honestly did think though you were above the "go to airline apps and apply away" crowd. It's such an easy and weak argument. I was 32 when I started at VX almost a decade ago and after much discussion with my wife, the golden cuffs apply to me too. I'll still try to use my voice and vote to try to get more and to point out deficiencies when I see them so we know next time not to make the same mistake again.

Your arrogance for someone that got his CFI in 2008….. is breathtaking. 😂 I can’t tell if you’re bitter, bored, don’t have a life, or some combination of the three. Either way, given your comments….. SUPER happy you’re no longer here. For all concerned
