His numbers are totally inflated, even if he’s including the employer 401k contribution at a made up hourly rate of $400 an hour average he’d have to credit somewhere around 1100 hours in a year and that’s including a $29k bonus. Sure let’s say it’s true that would mean he’s an APD with the highest override and picking up flying on days off or pulling doubles… it’s a load of malarkey and everyone knows it. But let’s assume it is true, there’s no QOL of life there and you’d need to live minutes away from the airport to make all that SEA driving worth it, meanwhile the comrades at the Widget just go to work and make marginally less. He claims he made $26-29k over the few years that Delta didn’t pay out a bonus, well that’s a wash cause Delta already pays about that much more anyways in a given year. Point of all this is if you’re at a regional you be a fool to stay there over taking a class date at Alaska. Once you’re there you can evaluate if it’s worth staying or not but to look at this one off guy who’s been full of it the entire time as a reason to come here is a huge mistake. Scroll back and you’ll find a post I made quoting him over the last year and it’s quite entertaining how wrong he’s been this entire time. And my final note is his comparison to his United buddies, I can’t tell you how many senior guys and gals I flew with that told me the same thing and when I said to them that they’re comparing the past and assuming it’s the future they couldn’t disagree with me at all. The past isn’t indicative of future performance that’s for sure. Best of luck to any hopeful newhires!

He's probably in the training department. Those guys work hard and I get it. However, the extra money and seniority shelter mean that not everyone who applies cares about learning. It really shows sometimes.

I’m sure he is but even being in the training department those numbers still are blown out of proportion unless every free moment of your life was spent in there.

Apparently, that opportunity is available to everyone working in the training department right now.

1100 credit is is nothing. Some regular line guys make bank, easily. Try 1200-1300+ credit and I don't mean someone in the training department.

1100 credit at a made up number of $400/hr of course this could all be settled take a screen shot of your last W2 Otz with the break downs of it all. Assuming it’s true which it may be there was a small cadre of Delta 350 CA’s who did over a million a handful of years back, would it be fair to say hey come to Delta you can make a million a year too? No not at all, the guy comes out and says all pilots by fall of next year will be making the same but then goes on to brag about supposedly make $560k.

Who cares? All of these numbers are 12th year CA pay. No one getting hired today is seeing that until 12 yrs in, Delta or Alaska. I don't doubt he made what he claims. 4 months were spent on the new contract. This new contract will make it easy for 12th yr CAs to get over 400k. 500k if they try. But this is moot. OTZ is responding to a 4 yr guy who left for Delta. Good for you and credit due for talking with your feet and making that walk out the door. Enjoy Delta.

Obviously he’s not enjoying Delta, because he still lives here in the Alaska forum…

I’m sure he enjoys DL I think there’s just a bit of resentment towards the company and pilot group. Everybody’s got their reasons if he wants to blow steam on a public forum so be it. No reason to lose sleep over it just scroll on past. No matter how disgruntled an individual is they often make good points in their argument. Usually accompanied with bad takes but such is life. Enjoy the holidays all. Hell has frozen over here in SEA and PDX.

So this does exist here?! I thought 90-100 a month was the absolute pinnacle.
