I'm not really sure that helps you in this industry unless you have another job lined up. Also if you resign I don't think ALPA can help you fight to get your job back. It is interesting that the average YOS for the 4 people that left this year is 8 years. Regardless I don't think we're firing people without cause.

Cant wait to hear your drivel “mentoring” guys who are leaving the regionals and applying to majors what great job this is:

”Well we downgraded all the guys who were holding captain at 8 and 9 years. So it’s about a 10 year upgrade. Not including the downgraded captains of course. But if you work really hard and pay your dues in
about 15 years you’ll be flying a widebody. Yeah it might be to Spokane and back to Seattle and we couldn’t compete in Rome or get gate space in Heathrow but what a cool airplane. We should get 2 more in 2029. That will make 11 and we’ll corner the SEA-PDX market.”

You've either never flown for a regional or are so oblivious to any situation other than your own that you've forgotten what it's like. There are worse things in life than downgrading to be a 9 year FO at a major in the year of our Lord 2026.

And that is granting you the premise that there will be any downgrades at all.

No everyone must be a captain with their first choice at trips

International aspirations dead. 787 displacements soon. Alaska management makes smart business moves and selling new 787s is the smart choice to boost our PBP percentage. I bet the sale can boost it a percentage or two!
