Breeze - single fleet aiming as of mid 2026
Sun Country - single fleet

The only exception is JetBlue with A220 and A320, but note Airbus only, no Boeing.

It’s almost as if there’s a trend here, no?

They’ve already given a heads up on the future. Based on the recent public comments, it’s a safe bet that long term this place is headed to be a 737 and 787 airline.
Allegiant is your AS equivalent?

YES, THIS! I’m loving the low ALV’s too. I really hope they are here to stay and just the norm from here on out. There is still plenty of flying for the hussler’s even with low ALV’s, so it keeps everyone happy.

The lease terms were so awful on the VX airplanes, it was cheaper to just dump them than keep them. That was discussed ad nauseam after SOC for AS/VX and they were trying to figure out how to negotiate the leases down. VX owned a total of 0 airplanes. Hawaiian on the other hand owns their Airbus 321s.

What were the gains from the VX merger?

It's surprising how many people believe the company story - hook, line, and sinker.
As if refinancing wasn't an option. Especially for the A319s, which were quickly turned into aluminum cans.

The removal of the Airbus was a decision in search of a reason. And when it comes time to remove the Hawaiian A321s, I'm sure the "reason" will be just as convincing.

Cant wait to hear the excuse this time. I remember they had FAs convinced the Bus couldn’t make it to Hawaii towards the end. Incredible

yeah Alaska management is smart and savvy enough to have redone the leases. They clearly didn’t want 2 fleets at the time. Same with the JFK base now that our east coast presence is so much bigger I wonder hindsight how much they regret closing that base
