How is airframe assignment determined? Is initial Indoc all together then splits for aircraft specific training, or do they hire you onto a specific aircraft?

Is not being done yet. Start 22 Jan. Will be by age on the first day of indoc. Example: 4 B737 SEA, 3 POS Eurotrash LAX, 4 B737 LAX, and so on. Oldest picks first.

ANC has been rare in new hire classes this year, but everyone gets ANC if they want it in the first bid that comes up. PDX seems to be the only base that takes awhile to get to. 1.5-2 years estimated.

I am typed in both (as well as several other dinosaurs), live in SEA, grew up as an Alaska Airlines brat. I will continue to commute to SFO for the Bus. Now the 757 is another story, I’d commute SEA-MIA to fly that bad boy again.
